Do you know the uptime of your eCommerce website?

24 February 2010 292 views One Comment

Everyone with a website knows that, things can sometimes go wrong. Sometimes it is with the code, the server or the network. And if we are talking about an eCommerce website, let’s say an online shop, any downtime means money. Money you lost.

Fortunately, there are services to alert you when there is a problem with your website. And you can quickly react or check with the tech support in order to minimize the downtime. And the loss.

Uptime RobotOne of this services is Uptime Robot. First of all, it’s totally free! Very simple and functional. It monitors your website every 5 minutes and alerts you if your site is down. Alerts are sent by email, SMS (free, again!), RSS and in the future using Twitter. Cool!

Limitations? Yes, you can monitor only up to 50 websites per account…

So, give it a try. And you’ll know the uptime of your eCommerce website.
